Students must be enrolled as a Horry County female high school senior who is eligible for graduation in the winter or spring of the current year. She must also be referred from Horry County School Guidance Counselor.

Nana’s Hope House currently only accepts female students as it’s residents at this time. We hope to grow and offer another location for boys in the future. Of course we wish there wasn’t a need for either but we will work to help as many students as possible.

Students cannot be married, pregnant or have children.

Anyone wishing to apply for the position of a house parent(s) must complete the application and pass an extensive interview with our Board of Directors. There will also be a full background check.

The current estimated cost to run Nana’s Hope House, without residents, is approximately $9,781.00 per year.  This does not include the necessities for residents such as school supplies, clothing, food, toiletries etc.

Students have NO expenses while they are a resident in good standing at Nana’s Hope House. All of their needs are met through grants and donations.

Students expenses not covered by Nana’s Hope House are medical & dental costs, a personal phone and any amenities they choose to provide to for themselves.

There may be times when our residents need tutorial services, mentoring, college application assistance and other things that are mentioned on our Resident Services page on our website.
